Nova Scotia’s Còig presents an evening of Celtic holiday music, with lively instrumentals, stirring vocals and festive favourites from their Christmas albums, “Carols” and “Carols Too”.

As an extra special addition to the 10th anniversary shows, Rachel Davis, Darren McMullen, and Margie Beaton will be joined by founding member Jason Roach! A crowd favourite, Jason left the band in 2019 to pursue other artistic endeavours and stay closer to home. We’re absolutely thrilled that he is going to be back with us this year for the holiday tour!

David is a versatile performer with an interest in a wide range of repertoire. Among his numerous performance prizes include the third prize at the 2018 Shean Piano Competition and a finalist prize in the 2017 Stepping Stone competition. Recent concert highlights include a recital with violinist Martin Beaver that included the world premiere of Stewart Grant’s Violin Sonata, a recital that David organized in collaboration with the Canadian Music Centre celebrating the works of Quebec composer Jacques Hétu, and two recitals of Beethoven piano sonatas as part of the Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance’s Beethoven 250 celebration.

With his unique brand of radio-friendly folk and a natural ability for storytelling, Sherman Downey has solidified himself as one of Newfoundland & Labrador’s most treasured artists. Kitty's Bound for Broadway is a delightful and entertaining one-woman musical play which takes us on a journey of what it takes to realize a lifelong dream.  Introducing Amy Caroline as Kitty with musical accompaniment by Robert Campbell.

Join us at The Grace, in the Betty Murray Theatre, to celebrate our dads, grandpas, uncles, brothers, and any other loved ones you may wish to honour on this special day. The late Terry Jefferson was a local musician of the Tatamagouche and River John area. His five (adult) children, Ruby, Dana, Kevin, Lisa, and Amanda - along with some other very talented extended family members - will share a wide variety of music (vocal harmonies accompanied by guitars and bass) as a Special Fundraiser for The Grace. The lineup of songs include ‘Sing Me Back Home’, ‘Leader of the Band’, ‘Rise Again’, ‘Song for the Mira’, ‘Country Roads’ and a whole lot more.

Presented by Maritime Marionettes

Molly, her boat, and Pixie, her little fairy friend, set out on a marvelous adventure in search of buried treasure. Along the way she meets new friends that help her in completing her wondrous journey. This show features the music of the Barra MacNeils and has a rich Maritime theme. 

Molly and the Oak Island Treasure is a 45 minute production which features 13 puppets.

Mills & Farrell, traditional/contemporary folk duo, travel the world in pursuit of music, both the ancient and in inspiration. They come from backgrounds of Australian rock (David Farrell) and Nova Scotia folk (Janet Mills). A sound inspired by Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings, The Milk Carton Kids, and The Waifs, they use two voices and acoustic instrumentation to create and blend their own expression in telling provocative stories. Lawrence Maxwell cut his teeth on beer caps, rough waters, and country music. His latest album, Ballad of Miles has been nominated for seven 2023 Music PEI Awards and has received airplay on: Sirius XM’s ‘Top of the Country,’ Country Hits Radio UK and CBC ‘Q’. With its neo-traditional production, and comparisons to both John Prine and Merle Haggard, Roots Music Canada has dubbed the record “the first great Canadian alt-country album of 2022.”

Maxwell hails from Prince Edward Island, Canada’s smallest province but one with a rich country music history based on every citizen’s relationship to the land and sea. In fact, before launching his musical career, Maxwell served in the Royal Canadian Navy upon graduating high school where, during downtime aboard his warship, he would compose thoughts that would lay the groundwork for his 2018 debut album Not Your Outlaw.

That record immediately put him on the Country Music map and earned him his first Music P.E.I. Award. . Now with his latest album, Ballad Of Miles, Maxwell is poised to expand his audience even further.
