Indigo Dyeing Playshop with Coleen Davidson (June 25)

  • Grace Jollymore Joyce Arts Centre 31 Creamery Road Tatamagouche, NS, B0K 1V0 Canada (map)

Join us for a fun and creative time. You will learn how to make a unique one-of-a-kind silk scarf using the ancient art of indigo dyeing in a user-friendly way. Indigo creates the most beautiful rich and deep blues against the white of the silk. You will take home a beautiful wearable silk scarf at the end of the Playshop.

Coleen Davidson is an Artist, Creative Coach, Art and Yoga Certified Teacher, E-RYT and Yoga Teacher. All materials supplied. All Welcome!

At the Ice House Gallery and Grace Arts Centre, we know finances can be a barrier to accessing creative programs and workshops. With the help and support of Canada's Federal Government through the New Horizons for Seniors Program, we are happy to provide a grant to cover the cost of any workshop coming up in the 2022 year. Should you wish to participate, but face a barrier in covering the cost, please reach out confidentially to our manager, Marshall Feit, who will quickly arrange access to the workshop!

Any youth who wish to volunteer with running the workshop (1-2 individuals per workshop), we will be compensating them with TataBucks! These are coupons that can be redeemed for cash at our Tatamagouche Farmers' Market! If you have a young person who would like to volunteer (12-18), reach out to us to arrange a schedule to volunteer!

Any further questions or concerns can be forwarded to Marshall Feit at the Grace Arts Centre at (902) 657 3500, or by email at arts@creamerysquare.ca.
