Join author Ray Cronin for Icons of Canadian Art: Alex Colville, Maud Lewis, and Mary Pratt, an evening of short readings from his Gaspereau Field Guides to Canadian Artists series. Drawn from extensive research and his personal and professional relationships with the artists and their work, Cronin will provide insight into each artists importance and continuing impact. He will also be available to answer questions from the audience about the art, lives, and influence of these enduring figures.

This event is free and open to the public! It will take place in the Ice House Gallery at the following:

The bar will be open for purchased refreshments so come out and spend an evening talking art with Ray Cronin!

Bio:

Ray Cronin is editor-in-chief of Billie: Visual Culture Atlantic. A writer, editor, and curator with over thirty years experience, Cronin writes regularly for Canadian and American art magazines and for Canadian art galleries. His books include Alex Colville: A Rebellious Mind, Our Maud: The Art, Life and Legacy of Maud Lewis, Mart Pratt: Life & Work, Colleen Wolstenholme: Complications, and the forthcoming Halifax Art & Artists: An Illustrated History.
